About the Author
Writing has always been a part of my life. Family, friends, and numerous small groups have sought me out to put together short plays, poems, and other writings for various events. These were non-compensated works, done merely for the enjoyment of creating and then partaking of others’ reaction to the finished works.
The desire to write children’s books was birthed during the school-age years of my sons. Teaching homeschool for several of those years gave rise to the need to express academic themes in a way they would grasp hold of quickly, as well as enjoy. Now that my “nest” is empty, I have taken pen in hand again to fulfill my desire to create stories that will instill character, foster self-worth, and grow the imagination.
My passion is to see children emboldened to think and see outside of the box. By observing the occurrences of everyday life, I take simple, seemingly unimportant happenings and turn them into stories which are both captivating and engaging. The addition of fun, likable characters draws the reader into the world of imagination where there are no limits. The result is an awakening of a desire within all ages to wildly dream again!
My husband and I have reside in a rural town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We cherish our two adult sons, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons.
